- Oracle9iAS provides a set of industry standards-based management facilities to simplify all aspects of Web site administration.
- Oracle Enterprise Manager provides a single Web-based environment to manage one or many Oracle9i Application Server or Oracle9i Database Server instances.
- Oracle Enterprise Manager components include: Enterprise Manager Agent, Oracle9iAS Instance Home Page, Systems Management Interface, Dynamic Monitoring Service, and Oracle Notification Service.
- Administrators can stop and restart Oracle9iAS instances from the Oracle9iAS Instance Home Page, and modify their configuration settings based on performance statistics.
- Administrators can also use the Oracle9iAS Instance Home Page to administer Oracle9iAS Containers for J2EE (OC4J) and Oracle9iAS clusters.
- Oracle Internet Directory is an LDAP v3 service that provides centralized management of user accounts, preferences, and address books, as well as optional self-service editing of user account information.
- Oracle9iAS security services include strong authentication and single signon (SSO), centralized user authorization, a flexible data access control model, cryptographic services, and mechanisms for the integration and deployment of secure applications.
- Oracle9iAS SSO is fully integrated with the Oracle Internet Directory, which provides support for LDAP-based user and password management.
- Oracle's JAAS implementation provides authentication, authorization, and delegation for Web and EJB components.
