Brief Curriculum Vitae

Alexander Kocian received the Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark, in 2003.
Doctoral dissertation: "EM based joint data detection and channel estimation of DS/CDMA signals" (Advisor: Prof. Dr. Bernard H. Fleury).

He is currently a research fellow with the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa, Italy, working on numerous projects funded by the Tuscany and Liguria Regions in Italy, the European Space agency, and the Italian National Research Council.
He has co-authored dozens peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and he has been member of numerous program committees of international conferences.

Dr. Kocian is currently TPC Chair of the European Alliance of Innovation (EAI) INTSYS conference. He also serves as member of Editorial Board for Stats (MDPI) and Signals (MDPI).
