About me

Short Bio

I am a Senior Researcher in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pisa. I have been an alumnus of the University of Pisa, in 2003 I obtained a B.Sc. in Computer Science and, in 2004, an M.Sc. in Computer Technologies.

From March 2005 to July 2008 I have been a PhD student in the Computer Science and Engineering program at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca and in 2008 I defended my PhD thesis titled “Tools and Models for High-Level Parallel and Grid Programming” supervised by Prof. Marco Danelutto, achieving my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering.

From 2005 to 2022 I have been a member of the High-Performance Computing Laboratory (HPCLab), part of the Institute of Information Science and Technologies “Alessandro Faedo” of the National Research Council of Italy.

My research focus is mainly on high-performance and highly-distributed computing, Cloud and Edge computing.
