PDP 2010 will take place at the Dept. of Computer Science of the University of Pisa, one of the most ancient university in Italy, with the most ancient Computer Science Dept. in Italy.

The Dept. of Computer Science is located in Pisa downtown. It is walking distance from most of the downtown hotels and from the main railroad station. Pisa airport is less that 3 Km.

How to reach Pisa

By air:

Pisa airport has connection with major European cities and Italian hubs. You can find main connections on the Pisa airport web site. Pisa airport has bus connections to Pisa downtown. Taxi from airport to the Dept. will take about 10-15 mins at 10-15 euro.

By train:

Pisa is directly connected to Genova (2 hours), Florence (1 hour) and Rome (2 hours and half). 2 hop connections are available to Milano (4 hours), Torino (4 hours), Bologna (2 hours) Naples (5 hours).

By car:

Highways directly connect Pisa to Genova and France (A24) and Florence (A12). From Florence you can reach Bologna, Milano and Roma.

Accommodation

Pisa has many Hotels with varying costs. Hotel information is available through web sites including Pisaonline and HotelClub.

February is not "high season" in Pisa, however we recommend to timely reserve an hotel accommodation, if you plan to attend to the conference, to avoid problems with room availability. Conference location is in downtown and most of the hotels are walking distance.
