Laura Pollacci is a PhD Student at the Computer Science Department of the University of Pisa and member of KDD Lab (Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Laboratory), at CNR (National Research Council) of Pisa.
Born in Viareggio (LU) in Italy on 28-th April 1988, she studied arts and graphics at the Liceo Artistico Passaglia of Lucca in the Sperimental and Visual Ambiental course.
She received the degree in 2014 and the master degree at the University of Pisa in Digital Humanities with 110/110 cum laude. Both theses have been developed in the Computational Linguistics area at CoLingLab (Computational Linguistic Laboratory).
Her research interests lie in the area of Social Network Analysis and Visual Analytics for Social Mining, Mobility Mining and Sentiment Analysis & Emotion Detection.
She is a volunteer in a dog's refuge and a paramedic, she likes graphics, art and is passionate on photography, Star Wars and criminalistic.
