UDDI is a repository for registering and discovering Web service descriptions. It stores descriptions of companies and the Web services they offer in a standard XML format. The Oracle9iAS UDDI repository provides: Inquiry APIs for searching and browsing for Web services Publishing APIs for registering, updating, or deleting Web services Security Services supporting authentication, authorization, and encryption services for private UDDI registries Interoperability with the ResolveNet Global Business RegistryTM and APIs for importing and exporting Web service descriptions with external UDDI repositories.
