By clicking the Edit button on the Data Guard Overview page, you can change the state of a database or change the properties of a database. Click the General link to change the database state, and click either the Standby Role Properties or Common Properties link to change the database properties.

This screenshot shows how to change the state of a database. For physical standby databases, you can change between the online, log apply off, and read-only states. This scenario is changing the state to log apply off.

At this time, you can Revert or Apply the change. This scenario assumes you have applied the change to log apply off.
