While Oracle Flashback Database and guaranteed restore points are not true database backups, they can be an important part of your data protection strategy. These features may require some initial setup, depending upon how you incorporate them in your backup strategy. See Chapter 5, "Data Protection with Restore Points and Flashback Database" for more information about how to set up your database to use these features.
