{"id":1292,"date":"2023-12-30T17:40:07","date_gmt":"2023-12-30T16:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pages.di.unipi.it\/bacciu\/?page_id=1292"},"modified":"2025-03-10T17:44:39","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T16:44:39","slug":"about-me","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pages.di.unipi.it\/bacciu\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 44%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>I am a Full Professor in Machine Learning, at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.di.unipi.it\/\">Computer Science Department<\/a>, University of Pisa, where I am the head of the <a href=\"http:\/\/pai.di.unipi.it\/\">Pervasive Artificial Intelligence Laboratory<\/a> (PAILab)&nbsp;and I coordinate the <a href=\"https:\/\/cordis.europa.eu\/project\/id\/101070918\">EIC-Pathfinder EMERGE<\/a>&nbsp; project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am currently the Director of AI research at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aptus.ai\/\">Aptus.AI<\/a>, and the founder and scientific advisor of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.continualist.com\">ContinualIST<\/a> and  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/quantabrain\">QuantaBrain<\/a> startups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am an <a href=\"https:\/\/ellis.eu\/members\">ELLIS member<\/a> and the Vice President of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aixia.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AIxIA<\/a>.
