This is a text description of oidarchi.gif, which shows the Oracle Internet Directory architecture. This architecture is explained in the text that preceeds the diagram. From top to bottom, the diagram shows the following: At the top are a cluster of Oracle9iAS LDAP clients. At the center of the diagram resides the Oracle Internet Directory Server, which the clients are communicating with. To the left of the Directory server is the Directory Administration server, which communicates over LDAP running on Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). The Oracle9iAS Metadata Repository is situated at the bottom of the diagram. The Oracle Internet Directory Server communicates with the repository over Oracle Net Connections.
